Next-Gen
Our next generation raw woven carbon fiber grips are a game changer for how a grip feels and handles.
No dampening, no flex and super light make them almost essential for a highly competitive euro nymph fly rod where feedback is paramount. The full wells grips are extremely light and can shave off 20-40g of weight by simply changing from cork to carbon, making your rod handle completely different.
These grips are not slippery when wet and have a hardwearing inner core that can be bored out to a larger diameter should your fly rod blank require it.
Available in both half wells and full wells these grips with/without recesses they are a first for South Africa and the perfect way to take your build to the next level.
Some insight from our tests and personal use:
We do not recommend that the carbon grips be used on fiber-glass/split cane or rods with a very slow action due to them flexing right through into the butt section. This can put unnecessary strain on both the blank and grip especially where the grip ends and the winding check meats the blank. Rather switch to traditional cork for those builds as cork flexes.
