We have a selection of carefully tapered Tonkin split cane blanks for those rod builders and flyfishers looking to capture the heritage of fly fishing! Each split can blank is hand made and is built to a specific taper to produce the appropriate action. The action and feel of a split cane fly rod is very unique and take us back to where it all started.
Split cane fly rods are very traditional with a slow smooth action and an unbeatable dry fly presentation. The “fastest” blank out of the selection below is the 76320, but when compared to modern fly rods is still very slow.
A completed build from a few years back – showcasing the beauty of natural split cane!
