Hailoy stripping guides will provide many years of service in both freshwater and saltwater situations.

- Most 9′ fly rods utilize 1 x stripping guides followed by either single foot guides or snake guides thereafter | 0 – 9wt
- For rods that are longer than 9′ and in the weights of 0-9wt then 2 x stripping guides are also used
- On heavy duty 9′ salt water fly rods 2 x stripping guides are used | 10wt +
