Elk Hair Caddis | Dry Fly

One of my favorite little patterns, the Elk Hair Caddis. Tied in yellow and grey these little patterns are deadly for most streams and rivers across South Africa where Trout are found, but are particularly effective for the Eastern Cape streams. Great as a dry to attach a small dropper to or fish in tandem with a smaller parachute/midge-sized pattern.

Careful attention is paid to proportions, barb length of the hackles, as well as UV-glue application to ensure your flies not only look great but also last long.
