Fly tying wire is an incredibly versatile material and has become almost essential in a vast number of patterns and forms the basis of any well-rounded fly tying kit. REEL fly fishing currently offers two variations of the wires, a 0.1mm and 0.2mm thickness. The 0.1mm or extra fine wire is perfect for small nymph and dry fly patterns. The thicker 0.2mm is usually found in most other wet, nymph, and larger fly patterns. Our fly tying wire is manufactured in the UK and is built around a proven quality non-tarnishing copper wire which doesn’t rust and is supple and easy to tie with.
