This dry fly hook is suitable for both trout and yellowfish in rivers. The larger sizes can be used for trout in dams and yellowfish in locations such as Sterkfontein Dam. Smaller sizes ideal for patterns such as parachute adams and CDC dry flies. Larger sizes ideal for shorter hopper patterns, DDD etc. Similar in size to 8422 in length, a favorite hook for large dry flies for destinations such as the Bokong River, Lesotho and Sterkfontein dam for large foam hoppers, stimulators etc. The curved point helps with hook holds on softer mouths like yellowfish
