If you are after the ideal fly fishing setup that allows for a host of different species then the Origin 8wt has you covered.

Fly Rod

A 9′ 8wt fly rod is great for Largemouth Yellowfish, Bass, Barbel, Tigerfish, Grunter, Leeries, and Carp.  While the speed of the Origin rod is a bit faster than ideal as a dedicated Grunter rod (fast rods lose some presentation delicacy) it more than makes up for it by being a powerful casting rod for large flies, particularly for Largies, Tigers, and Leeries/Garrick.

Fly Reel

The Origin II is our most advanced reel to date and is perfectly suited and matched to the Origin 8wt 9′. The waterproof nature of the drag and overall design means you can tackle any of the species with ease and confidence. The light physical weight of the Origin II reel makes a huge difference on a fulls days casting, something Grunter and Largies fly anglers are very familiar with.

Fly Line

Our Salty range of fly lines offers the best of both worlds by allowing use in warm tropical waters as well as being fresh water safe. One line has you covered for all your floating needs. A good aggressive taper that loads easily and shoots far!
