Snake Guide

Snake guides are a favorite among fly fisherman and add an extra point of strength when wrapped and epoxied to a fly rod. Snake guides are a great choice for most fly rods and are essential when building a heavier rod (7wt+). Snake guides can also be used on  lighter fly rods and there is no official rule when it comes to building your own custom fly rod.  When making your choice as to the guides for your custom fly rod, choose what you prefer as this is what building a custom rod is all about. Performance will be almost identical when choosing between single foot or snake guides.
