For more knot strength – up to 100%!
These rings are made from a high-quality, corrosion-resistant alloy and drum-polished in several steps – with the aim of optimizing smoothness and static friction. This ensures the highest possible knot load capacity. An electrolytic treatment is then carried out, which creates a grey-blackish shimmer that is extremely low-reflection. The rings increase the load-bearing capacity up to 100% when connecting two cords. They make it quick and easy to change leader tips and avoid constant shortening of the main line. They are also ideal for dry fly leaders because they are very light and are supported by the surface tension of the water. The enclosed insert contains assembly instructions, knot sketches, and a load capacity table.
Type 1/2mm – 0.40mm ring thickness | 2.00mm outside diameter | 9.00 load capacity
Type 2/2.5mm – 0.50mm ring thickness | 2.50mm outside diameter | 12.00 load capacity
All Stroft tippet rings are grey-black in colour

The rings are manufactured utilising a high-grade, corrosion-resistant alloy. They pass through various manufacturing
procedures and are then drum polished to ensure smoothness as well as maximum static friction, thereby guaranteeing
the highest knot strength. Finally they are anodised, resulting in a grey-black sheen that reflects very little light. The rings
increase the braking strain of connections between two lines of up to 100%. The rings simplify changing leaders and
avoid repeatedly shortening the main line. They are well suited for use in combination with dry-fly leaders; the rings are
very light and are carried by the waters surface-tension. Also enclosed are mounting instructions, knot sketches and
breaking strain table
