The new Origin II 9 foot 9 weight is a big deal for us here at Reel Fly Fishing. Creating an entirely new taper and fly rod from the ground up has many challenges but allows us to truly push the boundaries of modern materials and performance. Taking what we learned through the development of our Graphene fly rods and applying it to the Origin II has yielded a rod that performs flawlessly.

The Origin II is a fast, powerful fly rod that is as much at home chasing Tigerfish as it is stalking the salt flats. The DNA ethos of the Origin range of fly reels runs even deeper in the new Origin II fly rod. Our second-generation DNA-2 core technology pushes the limits in terms of strength, dynamic feel, and power. The extremely quick recovery rate and aggressive blank taper help to punch big flies out with ease even during tough windy conditions. While our graphene rods showcase what the future of fly rods will encompass, the Origin II takes tried and tested high-end materials to the very limit, creating an exceptionally useable fly rod for all your heavy fresh water and lighter saltwater needs.

We have lovingly tested and refined the Origin 2 over the past 2 years paying particular attention to the small details of modern minimalist design, high-quality components, and the best grade of carbon fiber in our blanks.
