Built for euro nymphers who demand precision, control, and confidence, the RF Contact Jig Series has been designed specifically for modern nymphing techniques and demanding freshwater fisheries.
Whether you’re fishing technical trout streams, deep stillwaters, or targeting hard-fighting yellowfish in the Vaal, maintaining direct contact with your fly is critical. Every RF Contact hook is engineered to maximize hook penetration, fish retention, and overall fly performance.
Manufactured from premium high-carbon steel, each hook is forged for exceptional strength and finished with a durable black nickel coating. Ultra-sharp, chemically sharpened points ensure instant penetration when opportunities arise.

The 3 Model Range – 25 hooks per pack
RF CONTACT
The foundation of the series. Featuring a standard gape and strong wire construction, the Contact delivers exceptional penetration and reliable fish-holding power. Perfect for perdigons, pheasant tails, caddis larvae, and everyday technical nymph patterns. These hooks are more than strong enough for most daily applications on the Vaal, for yellows and beads sit neatly and snugly in place. This range also goes down to an absurdly small #24 – perfect for those 2mm slotted beads!
RF CONTACT WIDE
Designed with an increased gape and strong wire, the Contact Wide provides additional hook exposure on larger or bulkier fly patterns. An excellent choice for euro nymphs, hotspot patterns, damsel nymphs, and versatile yellowfish flies. Excellent option if you like a larger gape hook but with plenty of strength to match.
RF CONTACT X
The powerhouse of the range. Combining a wide-gap profile with heavy forged wire construction, the Contact X is built for trophy trout, large yellowfish, and situations where maximum strength is essential. Bead sizes may need to be increased slightly to allow the thick wire through the bead hole. A great hook for the Orange River and high flow areas, where tippet strength can be increased to gain the benefit of the heavier hooks’ pulling power.
