Unreel 9′ Tapered Leaders

Unreel tapered leaders start with a thick end that joins to your fly line and ends with a thin tip to tie to your tippet. This allows for a smooth transition of energy from your fly line through the leader and ultimately to your fly, this translates into a well-presented fly that lands softly, straight and in the desired location.

Our Unreel Leaders are further improved through the use of copolymer nylons that offer incredible strength and easy tying suppleness. All Unreel Leaders are non-looped to allow for a host of connections that suit you best.

Leader Selection

9′ leaders are great all-rounders, however, they taper rapidly and as such are better suited to bigger flies where you need that fly to turn over quickly. For a more delicate presentation have a look at our Unreel Tapered Leaders in 12′ and 15′ lengths.
