Our slotted tungsten beads are engineered for optimal fit on jig-style fly fishing hooks, ensuring a secure and balanced presentation. We’ve expanded our offering to include sizes 2.3mm, 2.8mm, and 3.2mm—specifically tailored for competitive anglers who must comply with FIPS-Mouche regulations regarding bead dimensions.

Under FIPS competition rules, the maximum allowable bead size must not be exceeded. Traditional bead sizes such as 2.5mm, 3.0mm, and 3.5mm can often surpass these limits once painted or coated, due to the added layer thickness. To address this, our slightly reduced “true size” beads (2.3mm, 2.8mm, and 3.2mm) provide compliance assurance even after finishing processes like painting or dipping.

Additionally, our redesigned narrow slot ensures a precise, snug fit on most popular jig hook profiles, minimizing unwanted bead rotation and enhancing the fly’s stability and effectiveness in fast currents.
