Each taper is engineered in-house to suit our unique fishing conditions and withstand the demanding climates we fish in. The Origin Series is no exception — it embodies our philosophy of delivering bespoke, performance-driven fly rods that punch far above their price point.

Purpose-Built Performance

Just as our Origin Fly Reels redefined value when they launched in 2020, the Origin Fly Rods set a new standard for what anglers can expect in this class. Using our proprietary DNA Helical Core blank construction — a technology that weaves SK40T carbon fiber into a helical matrix — we’ve created blanks that are lighter, faster, and more efficient than ever.

This DNA-like core channels energy smoothly from grip to tip, producing an almost arrow-like “point-and-shoot” casting feel. The result is a rod that is very crisp, accurate, and powerful, ideal for anglers who demand precision and control. The updated v2 Origin, which is backwards compatible, has a 5% increased tip speed to further aid in powerful long-distance casts, even into the wind and with a larger heavy fly pattern.

Each Origin rod ships in a cotton rod sock and a slate-grey triangular rod tube for maximum protection.

No-Nonsense Section Replacement

Breakages happen — we keep it simple. If you damage a section, just pick up another under the replacement fly rod section tab. We’ll supply the replacement at cost price, no inflated “built-in warranty” fees.

Our philosophy is simple: why pay for a warranty you may never use? We prefer to keep our rods fairly priced upfront and only charge when you actually need a replacement. We stock spare sections and ship immediately so you can get back on the water without delay.
